Love, Philadelphia

Ahhh, the beloved Phillie Phanatic. A true symbol of this city. Running wild through Citizens Bank Park terrorizing the visiting team and loving on the dedicated fans of Philadelphia. This brings me back…..

The 3 years I spent at Thomas Jefferson University are where I hit my stride in education. Our class consisted of 27 individuals, from all walks of life and collegiate backgrounds. Our undergraduate majors varied from English to Exercise Physiology to History and Pre-Med. We even had a classmate who had delayed her entrance 1 year because she had made it to the final audition stages for the reality show Survivor.

Hours in the lab and at the library, daily trips to the Wawa,”family” meals, and nights out on the town, living our best lives, kept us together as we trudged through the lists of muscle insertions, bony land marks, physics lessons, and gait training lectures. Each of us with our own specific professional interests and aspirations, hoping to pull the best lottery number when it came time for our clinical placements.

I learned valuable lessons about myself and also expanded my horizons as a contributing member of this crazy society we are all apart of. The City was an amazing new experience, a melting pot of cultures and an energetic pace that was second to none.

We thrived!

Those classmates made an indelible mark on my life and are, in some crazy way, a part of the reason I landed right here, pursuing a career in physical therapy in Junction City, KS, home to Fort Riley and “The Big Red One”.

Hello world!

Well, here it is, and here I am, Meghan Schoenrock PT, DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Taking on this venture has been on my mind for quite some time and with amazing support from family, and repeated gentle nudging from friends and fellow entrepreneurs this train is leaving the station. Hop on, because its going to be an amazing and wild ride.

We are 4 weeks out from our first patient visit. Equipment is on its way, logistics are sorting themselves out, and personal growth is happening

My goal is to keep you active in the ways that bring you the most joy, whether that is spending time outside, maintaining a competitive level of athleticism, recovering from that weekend warrior game of ultimate frisbee, or simply making it through the day without chronic aches and pains.

I am working towards being the ‘go to’ clinician for all things Physical Therapy. With the years of experience I have accrued, working side by side with several awe inspiring mentors, I am as ready as I will ever be. It has been a long road since graduating from physical therapy school, and here we are.
